Moffat

Moffat and District Community Council secured funding from their local windfarm to produce their own Community Action Plan, so that the local community would have an agenda for the future – much of it focusing on the town centre. Preparing the plan and agreeing the priorities was done through lots of engagement with residents, businesses, schools, community groups and the local authority.

The plan helped the local community to build a better relationship with the local authority (the community had previously felt ignored) and to tap into new sources of funding for projects, like improvements to the high street from Sustrans.
